For all the students waiting for the law admission test, their wait is finally over. The HEC has announced the official Law GAT 2024 to evaluate candidates’ eligibility for bar council enrollment as advocates. The Law GAT is administered by the HEC three times a year. The Law Graduate Assessment Test’s objective is to verify the accuracy of the analysis and evaluation of a law graduate who aspires to enter the legal profession. It allows only qualified individuals with the requisite legal foundation to practice law in Pakistan. For this reason, the candidate needs to pass the Law GAT test in 2024 to be eligible to become an advocate on the Bar Council.

Law GAT Eligibility

• Applicants must have completed the undergraduate Law program (LLB) or its equivalent from a university accredited by the HEC. 
• Applications are not accepted from students who are awaiting their results. 
• Students with equal qualifications must submit the necessary equivalency certifications when applying for this Law GAT Test. 

GAT Type & Curriculum For Law

According to the PBC and HEC-decided syllabus, there are 100 multiple-choice questions in this HEC Law GAT exam. The Law GAT Test 2024 will have a total score of 100; candidates must score at least 50% to pass. The Law Graduate Assessment Test curriculum is thoroughly analyzed in the following section, and the total number of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in each part. 

Date Of Test For Law GAT 2024

The HEC recently posted a notification that includes the Law GAT test date for 2024. This year’s tentative date for the Law GAT test is June 30, 2024. Changes to the Law GAT test date will be communicated via mobile SMS, emails, and HEC/ETC portals.

• It is suggested that all candidates submit the online application on the HEC website. At least a week earlier, you need to download the GAT roll no slip through the HEC ETC website. 
• The mobile number you provided will receive all the necessary details regarding the centers, time, and exam location.
• All applicants must submit an online application with a valid email address and a working mobile number. 
• To access the testing center on test day, you need a printout of the roll number slip and the original CNIC or passport. 

Details Of The Law GAT Test Centre

1. Applicants may choose from a list of available Law GAT test centers on the application form. 
2. It is important to note that if at least 250 applicants choose the same test venue, the exam will be administered in any available test locations. 
3. Remember that once a test center is chosen, it cannot be changed after registration.

Law GAT Registration Process

In order to successfully apply for the Law GAT 2024, students must complete these steps: 

• Register for the Law GAT online by visiting the HEC ETC portal and creating an account. 
• To establish your account on that Law GAT web portal, provide your name, CNIC card number, phone number, and functional email address. 
• Once your HEC ETC portal profile has been created, select “Law GAT Test 2024” from the online portal’s side menu. 
• Applications that are incomplete or still in save mode won’t be accepted. Applications received after the June 30, 2024 deadline will not be accepted. 
• Create an online fee challan after finishing the Law GAT application. 
• Pay the entire Rs. 3000/-law GAT test fee at banks that accept 1Link 1Bill invoices. 
• Alternatively, students can use the 1Link 1Bill Invoice service to pay their Law GAT Fee through online banking services, Easypaisa, Jazzcash, and Upaisa. 
• Additionally, candidates must upload a copy of their paid challan receipt to their online portal. 
• After uploading a copy of the fee challan, click the “Submit” button to finish submitting your LAW GAT Test application. 

 Crucial Rules For GAT 2024 Law

• The deadline to apply for the LAW GAT test is June 4, 2024, at 4:00 PM. 
• The 30th of June 2024 is the tentative date for the LAW GAT Test. 
• HEC will notify candidates via email, SMS, and their online portal if the exam date is changed. 
• At least one week before the test, save your HEC LAW GAT Roll Number Slip from your HEC ETC online portal and your registered email address. 
• To get entry to the exam center on test day, bring your original CNIC, original paid fee challan, and a printed copy of your LAW GAT roll number slip. 
• Applicants must receive a minimum score of 50% to pass the Law GAT. While in the examination room, candidates must also abide by the policies and guidelines set forth by the Pakistan Bar Council. 

The HEC administers this exam three times a year, giving candidates a maximum of seven chances to pass. Those appearing in the HEC GAT Test 2024 must speed up their preparation as the test is around the corner.
