It is the pioneer university that fully utilizes modern information and communication technologies for conducting classes. A non-profit organization established by the Pakistan Government is helping thousands of students every year. One of the main objectives of a Virtual University is to provide aspiring students with access to world-class education at reasonable prices.
Moreover, the Virtual University offers online lectures for all classes to facilitate them in learning the concepts fast. Notably, it has achieved a significant milestone by reaching students in over 100 cities in Pakistan and enrolling students from abroad.
Here, we are going to discuss the online admission process for the Virtual University website. We have collected and shared data from genuine resources that help with the VU admission process.
The enrollment procedure at Virtual University is entirely digital and straightforward. To apply, students must complete the form with a working laptop or smartphone. Students can pursue admissions at Virtual University by adhering to the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Access the Online VU Admission Form
Firstly, applicants must visit the official website of Virtual University using any web browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox, etc.). On the Vu website’s main page, students need to select the “Admissions” tab, which will reveal a drop-down menu. They must opt for the “Apply Online” option from this menu. After clicking apply online, you need to sign up for online admission.
Step 2: New Registration/Sign Up
In this phase, learners must sign up on the Virtual University portal, a crucial step for applying for university admission. You’ll be asked to enter your nationality, full name, CNIC/B-form, email address, mobile number, and a robust password during registration. Once these steps are done, applicants must click the “Sign Up” button. Please note: all applicants must provide entirely accurate personal details, which should match the information on their ID card, SSC, and HSSC documents. Also, it’s essential to input the correct CNIC/B-form number; failure to do so will result in the university rejecting the application.
Furthermore, applicants will receive an admission verification link on their registered email addresses after signing up. Check your email inbox and click on the verification link provided in the official email from Virtual University. Upon clicking the link, your account will be registered.
Step 3: Sign In
Once you’ve completed the steps outlined above, you’ll be able to sign in to your account. Input your account details, which include your CNIC/B-form number and Password, to access your account.
Step 4: Fill Out the Admission Form
Upon signing in, the admission form will appear. The form is divided into five sections: program selection, personal details, need-based scholarship form, fee transfer form, document upload, and application submission.
Program Selection
In the program selection section, specify your status, indicating whether you are an applicant “within Pakistan” or an “Overseas” applicant. Then, select your degree program, for instance, “Masters” or “BS,” and your chosen study program, such as “Zoology” or “Arts,” etc. Furthermore, indicate your preferred location of study by selecting your preferred city, campus, and Lab. Once you’ve filled out this section, click save and proceed to the next section.
Personal Details
In the personal information section, input all the necessary personal details as requested by the form. Then, provide your educational background and current employment status. In the “others” segment, indicate how you learned about Virtual University, such as through “Newspaper” or “Social Media” and so on. Once you’ve completed this section, hit save and proceed to the next part.
Need Based Scholarship Form
If an applicant desires to apply for a need-based scholarship, they should choose the “Yes” option, and the scholarship form will be generated and shown on the screen for the applicant. All the necessary details must be filled in. If candidates do not want to apply for the scholarship, click the “NO” button. After you’ve finished, press the save button and move on to the next section.
Credit Transfer Form
If students want to transfer their existing credits or request a course exemption, they should choose “Yes” in the credit transfer section. This will bring up the credit transfer form on the screen. Fill out the necessary information on the form and click “save” once you’ve finished inputting the details.
Upload Documents
Now, upload all the relevant documents in JPG or JPEG only. Each file should be at most 1 MB in size. The documents to be uploaded include a photo with signature, CNIC/B-form, a handwriting sample, and relevant academic result cards/certificates/degrees.
Submit Application
Prior to application submission, candidates will be asked, “Have you acquired the prospectus?” If you have, choose the “Yes” option and input the prospectus number found in your prospectus booklet. Conversely, if you haven’t purchased the prospectus, the system will create a prospectus fee voucher that you must pay. The university will send you the prospectus at a later date.
Crucial Reminder: After completing the form, the candidate must meticulously review all the given details and press the “Submit Application” button.
Step 4: Printing The Admission Form And Submitting It With The Fee Voucher
The creation of fee vouchers for students who have not yet bought the prospectus will occur when the online form is submitted. All required information is included in the fee voucher, which applicants must use in accordance with its instructions and submit with payment by the specified deadline.
Step 5: Verification Of Admission
Every application will be examined and evaluated in relation to the requirements for admission eligibility. If an applicant’s application is complete and confirmed to be qualified, a fee voucher will be sent to them. However, after the presentation of the Merit list, candidates for life science programs will get their fee vouchers.
An applicant’s admission status may be seen on the website under the “Admitted Candidates List” option. Applicants whose applications have been accepted must pay the challan. Click the “View” option to see your status. An email confirming admission will be sent to each applicant’s registered email address when the selected individuals have been selected. After being chosen by the university, applicants who want to enroll themselves must pay the fee challan and email a scanned copy to the accounts department at masters_fee@vu.edu.pk or bs_fee@vu.edu.pk.
Following your submission, the admissions status will be visible on the Virtual University website under the “Admitted Candidate’s List.” Only applicants who have paid the fee challan within the deadline will be accepted, per policy. Accepted students will get an email right away.
Step 6: Document Distribution
The institution will use a courier to send the admission confirmation letter to accepted students. The university’s confirmation letter includes vital details such as the “Student VU ID” and “Password,” which are necessary to access the VU Learning Management System (LMS). Accepted applicants are requested never to disclose their passwords to other parties since this might lead to abuse. According to the university, students must keep their accounts and passwords private. By often changing their passwords, students can keep their accounts safe.
We hope applying for online admission on the Virtual University website will be easier for all students. Test Ki Duniya, good luck to every candidate seeking admission to VU this year.
