The CM of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has recently announced that the Punjab Government has decided to cover the educational expenses costing 125 billion for more than 25,000 students. During the meeting with the Department of Education, she instructed the higher authorities to award prizes to all the topper students and the teachers who taught these exceptional students.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also approved the student laptop scheme and the scholarship program for the students. She instructed the relevant authorities to take all the mandatory steps to launch these initiatives. CM Punjab stated that the Government of Punjab will spend Rs 125 billion yearly for covering the educational expenditure of 25,000 students. She also emphasized the need to start the transport program for female students. In the first phase of this program, 60 buses will be given to the Girls College in Punjab. She further stresses taking immediate action to develop more IT Hubs throughout the Punjab district.

The Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikander Hayat attended this meeting where Principal Secretary to CM Sajid Zafar Dal, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Secretary Higher Education Dr Farrukh Naveed.
